For most of my life I was a skinny girl who could eat anything I wanted without gaining weight. It didn’t matter that I mostly ate junk and felt like junk too. I was petite and got compliments all the time. Our society rewards skinny people. I actually thought I was doing well!
Then I turned 41 and got a big wake-up call. I was working 12-hour night shifts as an RN in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, homeschooling my two children, teaching three writing classes, grading 30+ papers per week, serving in my church, and I was a coupon queen who shopped at six different stores!
That was the year my body forgot how to sleep.
That was the year my hormones went berserk.
That was the year I went to health hell.
With the Lord’s help, I’ve been climbing out of that pit step-by-step ever since, but I’m still very much a work in progress. Not only has God helped me change a lot of my eating and lifestyle habits, but together we’ve worked on my thought life, attitudes, and some deep inner wounds that were affecting my health. He’s truly been making me whole!
I’ve always wanted to help people, but as God began to help me get healthy, I found myself wanting more and more to help others do the same. Every time I went out in public I felt so burdened for the unhealthy people I saw. That’s why I decided to become a certified health coach. I want to help people do something about their health right now, regardless of their current condition or past history.
My mission is to help people, mainly women, grow strong in the Lord and healthy in every area of life—spirit, soul, body, and lifestyle. I hope that in some way I can help you!
I encourage you to read my “Start Here” page and take advantage of all the ways I can help you become healthy and whole.
Let’s do this together, my friend!
God bless you!
