Outside my window… can’t see a thing. I’m writing this on Sunday night so it’s dark.
I am thinking… Actually, I’m trying not to think about all that I have to accomplish this week. When I do it makes me want to cry so I’m meditating instead on Isaiah 26:3 and receiving God’s perfect peace.
I am thankful for… a husband who helps me see things clearly when I feel overwhelmed.
I am wearing… gray sweats, red turtleneck, white sweatshirt and pink socks. Classy, huh?
From the learning rooms… I’ve got to get my son a new world history book. We’ve been very disappointed in his current history curriculum- too much religion and too little world history.
From the kitchen… a little bit of power cooking tomorrow. Got lots of ground chuck and chicken that needs to be cooked and/or divided up and frozen.
I am creating… a recipe book. I’m having deja’ vu. Haven’t I said this before, like nearly every week? One day it will get done!
I am reading… My friend Kristen’s first book, Coffee With the Savior.
I am going… to get my daughter’s SS card this week. You wouldn’t believe the fiasco this has been. It was supposed to come in the mail when she was an infant, but didn’t, and now it’s nearly driver’s ed time. Okay, so maybe I procrastinated for 15 years, but I was thinking this would be a simple process. Boy, was I fooled!
I am hoping… that I will get a lot done this week and not be frazzled.
I am praying… for the people in Haiti and particularly the organization we’ve supported for 20 years, International Missions Outreach. We’ve put 4 or 5 kids through school via this ministry.
I am hearing… my family in the living room watching TV as they anxiously await the arrival of the new season of 24. Personally, I can’t stand watching Jack Bauer, but hubby did promise a foot rub if I’d join him.
Around the house… I seriously need to get on the ball and paint the living room and kitchen. (Please don’t tell the Nester I haven’t done it yet). I hear paint is on sale this week so I’ll try to fit in a trip to get some.
A few plans for the rest of the week…Like I said earlier, I’d prefer not to discuss it right now as it steals my peace. I have MUCH to accomplish. But it’s still the Sabbath as I type this and all of that can wait.
A picture thought I’m sharing… This is the snowman my son made at work on March 1 of last year. Thus far, no chance of making snowmen around here this winter.

I must have taken a month's hiatus from painting! So I said Tuesday and Thursday would be solid painting days this week. Well, by noon, I was out of paint! But, I have 2-1/2 to 3 coats of red on the walls, so they are all covered. The question is whether my husband will declare it "done" or send me back to Home Depot for one more can.
Hang in there and don't look to Friday, lest you trip over Tuesday!
Girl!!!! I just saw your makeover photo on Shari's newsletter. Now don't get me wrong, you have always been beautiful. Your new look is GORGEOUS, though!! I know you're feeling a little sassy!

Great to pop by and catch up on what you are up to! After taking December off from blogging, I am slowing getting back into it.
Hope all is well! Cute socks!
I know why your son hasn't been able to make a snowman this year. That's because we got all the snow here in Oklahoma City the day before Christmas and it didn't all go away until this week!
What's Shari's newsletter? I wanna see your new look!
BTW, I'm not playing WordTwist until you have a chance to catch up with all the games I left you.
See you later!
