Outside my window… surprisingly sunny after being overcast all morning. Chill in the air, but still doesn’t feel like winter.
I am thinking… about the morning’s events. My daughter got sick and fainted in the bathroom. She seems to be okay now, but that was a frantic way to start a Monday morning.
I am thankful for… good health! I take it for granted far too often.
From the learning rooms… kids searching for scholarships.
From the kitchen… Parmesan chicken and salad.
I am wearing… a navy blue sweatsuit. My wardrobe is pitifully limited at present which should motivate me to lose the few extra pounds I'm carrying, but somehow doesn’t.
I am creating… a holiday cookbook with Thanksgiving recipes on one side and Christmas ones on the other. This isn’t anything to publish, just for my personal use. I’m just so thankful I actually have something to contribute to the “I am creating” prompt this week.
I am going… dentist and hair stylist for daughter this week. A few errands. Otherwise, I’m home.
I am hoping… to get the Christmas decor up today. I finally got the Thanksgiving stuff down, not packed away, just down.
I am hearing… the clinking of spoons on bowls. Nothing like Campbell’s Chicken Noodle Soup when you don’t feel well.
Around the house… a fire in the fireplace. It was much colder this morning. We probably don’t need it now, but we love fires so we’ll just keep it going.
A few plans for the rest of the week… Get Christmas decorations up, finish cleaning out files in office, visit my friend’s new house and rejoice with her, lots of prayer for others, help my new client work on her book proposal.

Bonita,
I love you! Just wanted to pop over and say "hi" and how I loved the day book entries......I need to be more "blog savvy!" Is that something that people "do" weekly??
How are you??
I look forward to your encouraging words for writers in my inbox always!
Love,
Tammy
I hope your daughter is okay. I would have been so scared! A holiday cookbook for future generations is a great idea, but I agree there's nothing like Chicken Noodle soup when you're sick.
Have a blessed week.
I was at the dentist today, and hope to see the hair stylist this week for a big trim. Need to get some more red paint on the wall, but I have at least one more gift-related store run to make.
Working with a woman with such passion should be energizing for you. I hope that is a fun venture!
Off to Bre's blog to share my fainting story....
Hey friend,
I just read your encouraging word for writers. The day you sent it was one an incredible high and then a despairing low for me. The following day was one of crushing sadness. I know you were writing about "writing", but these words spoke to me about something else.
"Maybe you’re feeling confused about what God wants you to do. Discouragement and doubt may be knocking at your door. Perhaps, you’re ready to throw in the towel because things aren’t turning out the way you expected. Let this be your encouragement, precious friend: God has a plan. His plan is better than your plan. He has not forgotten you. He’s working in ways you don’t understand at the moment. He will not fail you. Hang in there and don’t give up now- or ever."
God has given me a burden that I've carried for over a year - faithfully. I've hoped for a certain outcome, and it was almost mine. At times it is so hard to understand what He is doing. I don't understand and at this time just have to trust that He loves me. Thank you for sharing your heart!
Love you
Leslie

Hey friend,
Just wanted to thank you again for your encouragment and your prayers. I appreciate your understanding. Yes, it has been hard on my heart, though I trust that God has and will use all of this for good.
Love you,
Leslie
Good Stuff!
(I hope your daughter is doing okay... I saw that this was earlier in the month).
