Outside my window…gray overcast skies. Looks like we had some showers last night and can expect more today. A perfect writing day!
I am thinking… about the fact that I deactivated my facebook account. I thought it would be traumatic. Instead, it was freeing. Don’t know when I’ll reactivate it, if ever.
I am thankful for… the wonderful vacation to Colonial Williamsburg that a friend gave me last week. I was truly relaxed, refreshed, and rejuvenated! I’ve got tons of pictures if you care to scroll down to the latest posts on my blog.
From the learning rooms… spiritually I’m learning what a big fire a small spark can make. Practically, I’m in the beginning stages of planning our homeschool year.
From the kitchen… I hear the Old Mother Hubbard rhyme resounding in my ears.
I am wearing… workout clothes. I just got back from early morning exercise at the high school track with hubby. Doesn’t that make me sound like a high power fitness woman bright and early this Monday morning? I wish!
I am creating… I’m not currently doing it, but I did create some wonderful memories at Williamsburg this past week. This particular question catches me off guard every week and I really need to carry it around with me so I’ll remember to make something!
I am going… nowhere! Doesn’t that sound wonderful? Today is a full-fledged writing day and that’s all I plan to do.
I am reading… I actually read aloud an entire small book by Beth Moore on our way to Williamsburg. Don’t ask me what the name was, but it was something about a pit and it was really good.
I am hoping… that one day I’ll get my act together and not feel so disjointed.
I am hearing… water running as hubby takes a shower.
Around the house… I woke up to chocolate smeared on my kitchen floor. I’m quite sure my family was too busy devouring ice cream last night to notice that they were missing their mouths.
One my favorite things… the drum and fife corps at Colonial Williamsburg.
A few plans for the rest of the week… write, orthodontist appointment for my daughter, help with Angel Food ministry at church, work on current editing job and possibly start another one. In case you didn’t know, I am for hire if you need writing help. Check out the details on my writing blog.
A picture thought I’m sharing…See, I told you I can help with your writing needs. Just ask Tom.

A day at home without going anywhere (or expecting anyone) sounds blissful. We loved our visit to Williamsburg too.
You asked about being a warden: I did a post on that last Feb:

Thanks for popping by :)
Bonita,
Thanks for your kind words about Sam. He was with us for over 18 years and we miss him in our lives. Animals do tug on our heartstrings, don't they?
I enjoyed visiting your blog and reading your daybook. We, too, love Colonial Williamsburg and spend many weekends there.
Have a blessed week!

Colonial Williamsburg sounds wonderful. Glad you were able to enjoy it.
Thanks for visiting my daybook. RYC: No, no Evelyn Wood speed reading LOL. I found that I'd have lots of time to read if I just eliminated television, so I did. The only tv I watch is (occasionally) the morning news and the Duggars on Tuesday nights. I spend my spare time reading and I enjoy it so much more.
Have a blessed week.
that question always catches me of guard also. It sounds like you are creating a lovely home for your family. Exercising with your husband, home schooling your children. Remember, creating something doesn't have to mean you can hold it in your hand.
The name of the book you were interested in is "Simple Gifts - Lessons in Living from a Shaker Village" by June Sprigg
I love this picture, truly a writing teacher in her element! I'm sure he would have enjoyed a few writing tips!
After seeing your name and comment on "Truth For the Journey" I had to come say hi, and tell you that God is all over you, and doing a mighty work in your life. The words that keep coming to me are "God is all over you". Hope you are encouraged in the Lord. He is not finished with you yet! Amen and Amen?!?
Blessings from Him through me are yours!
Thank you so much for your encouraging words on my blog this morning. I really needed to hear what you had to say...and you put things into a different perspective for me. I appreciate you taking the time to share...I think I need to print off what you told me! :)
I'm glad to know you're OK. I was trying to send you something on Facebook and couldn't find you...didn't know where you went!
Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving your footprints. I just love when someone takes time to say hello.
Your post are bring back memories. I loved Williamsburg, I lived near there for 7 yrs.
I deactived my facebook then found that the director of our childrens orchestra was posting our childrens pictures there, so when I went to check on how they were posted it reactived my account. I like that I can talk to my dear friend of 20 yrs and her famlily more. And see all the pictures feels as though we are close again. So for now I am so torn. I keep very limited on there.
