Colonial Williamsburg- part 1

I spent the majority of this week in Colonial Williamsburg. A friend blessed me with an all-expenses-paid trip!  I had a great time and highly recommend it. I learned more about history this week than I learned in all of my years of schooling combined. I finally understand what happened to who and when and where and even why!

I’ll start by showing some of the buildings and everyday life. I think this was a building on Duke of Gloucester Street, but it might have been a tavern, can’t remember.

The house below is the Randolph house. We took a tour through it and learned a lot about slavery. Each of us was a character. I was “Eve” the lady of the house’s personal slave.

Carriages and wagons traversed the streets.
