Colonial Williamsburg- the colonists

Part of the fun of Colonial Williamsburg is meeting the colonists. Some of them are in the various buildings working their craft and some stroll the streets. All stay in character the whole time and are more than willing to converse with you and answer questions.

I tried so hard to get a colonial man for Melissa, but she wouldn’t cooperate despite the fact that she adores everything colonial. What’s up with that?

The outfits are extraordinary - much more colorful than I expected. I like the fact that you can stop and speak to them and they remain in character the whole time. Like jumping into a time machine!
