The Simple Woman’s Daybook- May 18, 2009

Outside my window… Dark and drizzly. (I’m writing this entry on Sunday night).

I am thinking… how thankful I am that I had a very restful Sabbath before starting this ultra busy week.

I am thankful for… God’s forgiveness and grace. I’ve needed both a lot lately.

From the learning rooms… my daughter is wrapping up her studies of India by making some puffy whole wheat bread (pooris??).

From the kitchen… grilled chicken sandwiches, Sam’s red potato salad, corn on the cob. A little meat, a lot of carbs!

I am wearing… an extremely comfortable blue velour lounging suit or sweat suit, not exactly sure what to call this one, but it’s my most comfy outfit and one I don’t wear out of the house.

I am creating… talks for the North Carolina Home Educators conference. I speak for three hours on Friday!

I am going… to NCHE in Winston-Salem Thurs-Sat. It’s a working event for me. I’ll either be speaking or selling my curriculum at my publisher’s booth all weekend.

I am reading… Exposing the Spirit of Competitive Jealousy by Creflo Dollar.

I am hoping… that God shows up during my talks at NCHE and I won’t be nervous and people will be helped and blessed.

I am hearing… TV characters talking from the living room.

Around the house… not much will be done this week as all of my time will be spent preparing for NCHE. I’m sure it will all be waiting patiently for me when I return!

One of my favorite things… strawberries! We picked some this week.

A few plans for the rest of the week… finish preparing my talks, run errands and tie up loose ends for the trip, go on the trip, return from the trip, collapse.
