The Moment Every Parent Dreads

This is my son.

This is a car key.

This is my son putting the key in the ignition.

This is my son driving off alone with a valid driver's license.

(Not pictured: Me running after him hanging on the bumper screaming, "Don't go! Please don't go!")

Bonita,

Oh my word! This is the cutest (and saddest) post!!! With a 12 1/2 year old, I know this day is going to be my reality in a few very short years.

I, too, will be a bumper-clinging Mom! We should start a club!!

Blessings,
Dori

My son is about to start Driver's Ed. I don't even want to THINK about it :-)

Oh yes, I can relate! To sons --- now driving on their own --- but the mom screaming after the car is exactly how I felt! The 'rule' in our family is: with the driver's license and keys to the car comes a cell phone so we can keep track of you! And. . .you better answer when we call! LOL!
