Welcome to my new blog! Every now and then it’s just time to start something fresh and new and spring is the perfect season for new beginnings. Yesterday I got a new haircut- a wedge. I was calling it my cute little wedgie until I realized that it’s probably really bad form to say that your hairdresser gave you a wedgie. Next week I’m going somewhere new and doing something really exciting that I’ve never done before (more on that later). And I’ve got this brand spanking new blog- a clean slate. Oh, how my little writer heart thrills at the thought of pages and pages of blog with no words on it yet. Sheer bliss!
So what kinds of words can you expect on this blog? Well, if you’re a writer you can expect inspiration, encouragement, tips, prompts, and a lot of revealing truths about a writer’s life. If you’re a homeschooling parent or a teacher, I hope to offer lots of educational goodies, as well as writing helps for students. If you’re a woman or a mom, you just might find a new friend here. If you love Jesus or you’re the least bit curious about God, I hope this will be a place where you can draw closer to Him. As for my family and friends around the globe, don’t worry, you’ll still be able to catch up on our lives too.
Now if I had just moved into a new house (what a glorious thought!) and you came to my house-warming party, I’d ask you to sign my guestbook. Well, this is a blog and I don’t have a guestbook, but in the spirit of this little blog-warming party please leave a comment to let me know that you stopped by and what you think of the new pad (as in writing pad and home place in cyberspace). You don’t have to be a member of blogger to leave a comment. In other words, I’m speaking to you too, Mother!
