Okay, I rarely have something domestic to share being that I'm rather domestically challenged. So, when something comes along that I actually can contribute to the annals of domesticity I feel it is my obligation to do so. In other words, "Hey ya'll, I've actually got a recipe to share! Imagine that!"
Actually, it isn't my recipe after all, but something that my daughter and her friend came up with and it tasted oh so good. You put ice in a blender. Then you pour in enough flavored Vitamin Water to barely cover the ice. Blend until ice is finely crushed (Italian ice consistency). Serve in a beautiful glass. We used wine glasses with a lemon slice twisted onto the rim. They used the lemonade version of the drink, but you could use any flavor. If you like a potent sweet you may need to add sweetener. Since those drinks are sweetened primarily with fructose, you could add some crystalline fructose for consistency's sake. However, I liked it as is with just a faint sweet taste.
These would be ideal for hot summer days or for a healthier than usual treat for the kids.
